RT3 Simulators provide the user to run off-line simulations remotely to determine what effects parameter changes (price, target size, kerf, product mix, etc.) have on value, recovery and resulting lumber mix without actually processing the timber. The user may run simulations on a single piece or a whole shift and the results can be view in report form and/or graphically.
Since the introduction of RT2 – Real Time for Real Trees optimization software for primary log breakdown in the 1980’s, Porter has continued to develop integrated scanning and optimization systems. All Porter Primary Breakdown Systems Software is embedded directly into our Optimized Log Bucking software. In this matter, the Log Bucking System models all downstream breakdown equipment in its solution process.
