Process Control
A Process Control System has three responsibilities. First, controlling machine operation to process the log as intended by the optimization solution. Second, processing as many logs as possible through the machine during a shift. And third, making it easy to monitor, configure, maintain and troubleshoot machine operation.
Porter RT Process Control Systems utilize the latest technologies in PLC’s, motion control and modern programming techniques to tightly control speed and position to ensure the log is processed as intended, resulting in accurate opening faces and maximizing recovery and value.
Porter RT Process Control Systems maximize piece count by utilizing predictive gap optimization techniques and leveraging the increased performance of modern VFD’s to maximize piece count while maintaining smooth machine operation.
